The knee is one of the joints that is most often affected by arthritic changes. The probability of developing knee arthrosis over the course of a lifetime is, on average, 45%. In order to alleviate the pain of the diseased patients, to delay surgical interventions or, in the best case, to avoid them altogether, measures should be taken in time.
For this reason, we asked Alexander Ablaß about the extent to which shock wave therapy can be used for knee arthrosis to accelerate the healing process.
